Easaway Drain Care helped to maintain
industry standards this month when Engineers spent the day on an intensive
High Pressure Water Safety Awareness Course

Provider, Jetchem Systems along to their Leeds base to deliver Water Jetting
Association accredited training to seven employees.
Following a hearty breakfast Trainer (Mr Dwyer) introduced the students to
the principles of high-pressure water, from Health and Safety issues through
to Care and Maintenance of equipment. At the end of the classroom session
a test paper was issued and the group scored incredibly high: ranging from
80-90%.
It was then time to put the theory into practice and Engineers assembled outside
in full protective uniform, as they prepared to have a go at using the equipment.
As discussed by the group: the combining effects of water pressure and the
type of nozzle used enables the Jetting hose not only to clear blocked drains
and remove Graffiti but when used correctly it can muster up enough power
to cut through wood, concrete and even steel!
To help demonstrate this Drainage Engineer (Dave Fisher) volunteered his services
and prepared himself for the ultimate show down: breaking a 10-inch piece
of wood with just the power of water!
Fighting against the intense water pressure Dave managed to split the wood
in two in just a matter of seconds, highlighting the importance of safety
training when using such high tech equipment.

Specialist machinery, tools, Safety Equipment and CCTV recording equipment.

to meet industry codes of practice.
